Ravi Rudra Pitahmah English Meaning
Goddess Saraswati is considered the goddess of learning, literature, music and art. There is threefold coordination of thinking, emotion and sensation in it. The veena is an expression of music, the book is an expression of thought and their Vahana(vehicle), the Swan, is an expression of art. Saraswati Vandana Ravi Rudra Pitahmah is the worship of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Knowledge. Students should recite it regularly. It can be recited on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami or any time to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

ॐ रवि-रुद्र-पितामह-विष्णु-नुतं, हरि-चन्दन-कुंकुम-पंक-युतम्!
मुनि-वृन्द-गणेन्द्र-समान-युतं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।1
Om Ravi-Rudra-Pitamah-Vishnu-Nutam, Hari-Chandan-Kumkum-Panka-Yutam!
Muni-Vrind-Ganendra-Samaan-Yutan, Tav Naumi Saraswati! Paad-Yugam.
Salutations to Ravi (Sun), Rudra (Shiva), Pitamah (Brahmaji) and Vishnu ji. Infused with Harichandan and Kumkum paste. O Mother Saraswati, I bow at your feet, surrounded by the group of sages and honored by Lord Ganesha.
शशि-शुद्ध-सुधा-हिम-धाम-युतं, शरदम्बर-बिम्ब-समान-करम्।
बहु-रत्न-मनोहर-कान्ति-युतं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।2
Shashi-shuddha-sudha-him-dham-yutam, sharadambara-bimb-saman-karam.
Bahu-ratna-manohar-kanti-yutam, tav naumi Saraswati! Pada-yugam.
O Mother Saraswati, I bow at your feet, filled with the pure moonlight of the moon, with the abode of snow, like the autumn clouds, with the radiance like the many beautiful feet.
कनकाब्ज-विभूषित-भूतिभवं , भव-भाव-विभाषित-भिन्न-पदम्।
प्रभु-चित्त-समाहित-साधु-पदं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।3
Kanakabja-vibhushit-bhutibhavam, bhava-bhava-vibhashit-bhinna-padam.
Prabhu-chitta-samhit-sadhu-padam, tav naumi Saraswati! Pada-yugam.
O Mother Saraswati, adorned with golden lotus, giver of wealth, giver of various emotions, giver of love for the Lord, situated among sages, I bow at your feet.
भव-सागर-मज्जन-भीति-नुतं, प्रति-पादित-सन्तति-कारमिदम्।
विमलादिक-शुद्ध-विशुद्ध-पदं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।4
Bhava-sagar-majjan-bhiti-nutam, prati-padit-santati-karamidam.
Vimladik-shuddha-vishuddha-padam, tav naumi Saraswati! Pada-yugam.
O Mother Saraswati, white and pure, who provides support, children etc. to those drowning in the ocean of life, I bow at your feet.
मति-हीन-जनाश्रय-पारमिदं, सकलागम-भाषित-भिन्न-पदम्।
परि-पूरित-विशवमनेक-भवं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।5
Mati-heen-janashraya-paramidam, sakalagam-bhashit-bhinna-padam.

सुर-योषित-सेवित-पाद-तमं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।6

सुर-मौलि-मणि-द्युति-शुभ्र-करं, विषयादि-महा-भय-वर्ण-हरम्।
निज-कान्ति-विलेपित-चन्द्र-शिवं, तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।7

गुणनैक-कुल-स्थिति-भीति-पदं, गुण-गौरव-गर्वित-सत्य-पदम्।
कमलोदर-कोमल-पाद-तलं,तव नौमि सरस्वति! पाद-युगम्।।8
Gunanaik-kul-sthiti-bhiti-padam, guna-gaurav-garvit-satya-padam.
